Through the lense

As some of you know I freelance in photography. Today, as I was shooting through my canon it occurred to me how wonderful a picture is. We have all heard the saying.... A picture is worth a thousand words... and how true it is! You can capture the innocence of a baby's smile, the depth of knowledge in an old man's eyes, and the trust captured in the profile "I do". A designer works all year for five minutes of shooting his masterpiece, and the mother enthusiastically takes fifty pictures of her firstborn blowing out her candles. Whether it's for the chance to secure a contract or the ability to hold a memory, photography can be one of the greatest love affairs of mankind. I can say for myself the thrill I get from being able to preserve a look is priceless! Thank you Joseph Nicephore Niepce for that eight hour summer day in 1827!
