Minneapolis,MN trip

I have never been to "the cities"... so when my husband told me we were soon to be occupants of this rumored college favorite, I was thrilled! I've seen Pensacola, Atlanta, Chicago, Madison, and Denver  but I was in for a surprise with Minneapolis/St.Paul! As we drove on 94 over that first rise to the visible skyline it took my breath away. Man-made structures are usually not beautiful but I have to say Minneapolis skyline is a tear jerker! When I awoke in the morning I was pleasantly surprised to be surrounded by the lovely old buildings and the great amount of foliage in the city. It was my first trip on a train and I was also surprised by the lack of litter and smog. I felt right at home in this relatively pollution free city. The prospect of living here just warms my heart and puts a smile to all the uneasiness I might have had.
